Beetlejuice
Based on the movie with the same name, the animated show Betlejuice ran from September 9, 1989 to December 6, 1991. Distributed by Warner Bros., the cartoon was created by Ellipse (France) and Nelvana (Canada) for The Geffen Film Company. The groundbreaking CGI shorts featured in many of the episodes were produced by the Calibre animation team.
In the film, Beetlejuice is the negative character that ends up marrying the disgusted Lydia, while in the cartoon the are best friends and Lydia visits Beetlejuice in the underworld, while he also helps her to understand the society she belongs to. Beetlejuice is a ghost that comes from Neitherworld, the land of the dead, and, even if he acts like a trickster, he has a kind heart. The first season was released in 1989 and 1990 by Warner Bros. to video-cassettees.
He is the main character of the show, a scary but somewhat friendly ghost coming from the Neitherworld. His name comes from the Latin Betelgeuse, which can be translated to "armpit". He is the most powerful ghost in his world, performing magic, being able to change into various shape and transform objects.
