Richie Rich

Alfred Harvey issues many comics featuring, among others, the Richie Rich character (also known as The Poor Little Rich Boy or The Richest Kid in the World) in the 1950s but had little success. In November 1960, Richie received his own comic book. Richie Rich Millions (which began in 1961) and Richie Rich Dollars & Cents (1963) were the titles of the first of 50 titles released featuring the poor little rich boy.

The animated series started to air on on November 8, 1980, alongside Scooby-Doo. The characters were older, Richie was 12, and the show continued for 4 years until it was canceled. In 1994, the Richie Rich character made its debut on the big screen. The live action Richie Rich movie starred Richie Rich and other well known actors. In 1998, another live-action movie was released, entitled Richie Rich's Christmas Wish.

Richie comes from a fantastically wealthy family. He lives in an expensive mansion and has everything a child his age could wish for. He wears a waist coat, a white shirt with a red bow tie and blue shorts.
